About Me

I came to software the long way around: six years running theatre floors, a few more behind coffee bars, and a Computer Science degree from Bellevue College earned part-time across most of it. Then a full-time move into building things.

Those years taught me to start with people rather than the org chart, and I build software the same way. Work out what someone actually needs before deciding what to ship. The work I like best sits between the technical detail and the person on the other end of it.

By day I'm at EdgeRunner AI, working on a local-first desktop AI app in TypeScript and Python. Nights and weekends are Rust: terminal UIs, peer-to-peer systems, and small sharp tools — most of them built to write plain Markdown into the vault where I log my life, because the files should outlive the app.

Off the clock it's coffee and music. The barista years followed me home — I log every brew — and each year gets distilled into a short playlist: the five or six tracks that actually defined it. The photos below are a few peeks into the rest.
